Terms & Conditions

Superior Real Estate Signage Installation

Hours of Operation

Tuesday to Saturday from 9:00am to 4:00pm.
BW is not open on Sundays, Mondays or statutory holidays.


Inquiries received outside of business hours will be addressed the following business day.
Installation and removal of signage occurs from Tuesday to Saturday, installations are not
provided on Sunday, Monday or statutory holidays.


BW will advise customers in the event of extreme or dangerous weather conditions that may cause delays.

Lead Time

A two-day lead time is appreciated.
All requests are treated as a top priority but please be advised that a last-minute request may be scheduled for the following 1-2 business days.

Liabilities

Posts are the property of BW, when sent to location they are being rented by the account
holder. BW has sole authority to install, remove or relocate posts. If a post is moved to a
different location by an unauthorized person (e.g. to another property listed for sale) there will be a fee charged equivalent to the original installation fee and BW reserves the right to obtain the post.


BW will not be liable for any damages inclusive of (but not limited to) sprinkler systems, utility lines not marked by the City of Calgary or municipality, any fiber optic or TV/internet cables or landscaping.


BW has gone to every effort to supply a durable and sustainable product, posts with minor wear and tear are refurbished at no charge. In the event that a post is destroyed or lost during the rental period, there will be a $75.00 replacement fee charged to the account holder.


If the post was moved by an unauthorized person and is either lost or damaged beyond repair there will be a $75.00 replacement charge to the account holder. If the post was lost and is returned in original condition BW will refund $50.00 to the account holder.


BW takes every measure to for care signs, riders and agent property. BW will not be liable for minor scratches or dents to the aforementioned property during transportation, storage, or installation/removal. Signs in the custody of BW are still owned by the agent/brokerage/account holder and BW will not be responsible for theft or damages due (but not limited) to vandalism or extreme weather conditions. If BW discovers damaged property belonging to a customer they will notify the customer immediately.

Installation and Removal Services

Orders can be made via the BW website “Client Shop”.


The initial fee when ordering a sign includes the installation AND the takedown/removal, please refer to the pricing and map page for fees.


It is the responsibility of the individual placing the order to provide accurate information and
instructions, the complete address (including postal code) must be provided.


Installation date must be provided, please refer to ‘Lead Time’ for additional Information.


Please include any relevant information such as sprinkler systems, community/HOA or condo bylaws, and preferred location.

Condo/Townhome and HOA

If the request is for a townhome/condo the approved location as per condo bylaws/management/board must be provided. 

If the property is part of an HOA the approved location must be provided as per HOA/community bylaws. 

*If the instructed location for install is not an approved location, and a request is made to move it, BW will charge a $20 service fee to the account holder. 

*Signs are not permitted to be placed on City of Calgary property; if BW arrives to a location and installation is not permitted the account holder will still be responsible to pay the installation fee.

Additional Services

Lockboxes

Lockboxes can be stored at our facility and installed, or removed, at the time of sign installation or removal for $5 per service. BW does not make additional trips to only install/remove a lockbox unless the customer books a $20 service call. Please clearly state the location for lockbox installation (e.g. front door handle, gate to backyard etc.). 

Your lockbox must be labelled with your name and phone number, unlabeled lockboxes will not be installed or removed. 

A shackle release code must be submitted to BW by 8:00am on the day of sign installation and/or the day of sign removal. If BW is not provided with a shackle release code by the stated time we will not install, nor remove, the lockbox and the fee shall still apply. 

It is the responsibility of the lockbox owner to collaborate with their client to get keys in/out of the box, BW will not be responsible for keys that are left in SentriLock boxes. 

Unforeseen circumstances: should extreme weather conditions or dead batteries render the lockbox inoperative, and BW is unable to install or remove it, the owner will be notified immediately and the install/removal fee will be reimbursed.

C/S and SOLD Stickers

C/S and SOLD stickers can be taken to an installation and left in a secure location to be applied by the owner at the agent’s instruction. Stickers must be purchased at the time of sign installation, BW will not make a separate trip to drop off, or apply, C/S and SOLD stickers unless a $20.00 service fee is booked.

Riders

Riders booked to go out at a time other than installation are subject to a $20.00 service fee.

Custom Colours

BW can craft custom designs and colours to reflect your branding, designs/colours must be approved by the brokerage and adhere to City of Calgary bylaws (e.g. no emergency colours, no lighting). Custom posts/branding will automatically be used for all installations of that agent, team or brokerage unless otherwise specified. Fees for custom posts can be found on the ‘Services and Pricing’ page of the website or under ‘Fees’ below. For Standard posts Custom Colours, there is a *Minimum order of 10 posts.

Fees

Installation and Removal

Lockbox installation and/or removal is $5.00 per service (e.g. an install and removal would be $10.00).

Stickers can be dropped off at the time of sign installation only and are $1.25 each (e.g. two C/S and two SOLD stickers is $5.00). If an agent would like a service run to drop off or apply C/S or SOLD stickers at a time other than installation there will be a $20 service fee plus the cost of the stickers ($1.25 per sticker).

Service Fees

BW has developed an installation method that prevents sagging, leaning and twisting. In the event that a post has been vandalized, received minor damage, or pushed down there will be a $20.00 service fee to re-install, repair or swap the post out. Account holders will be charged a $20 service fee in the event the sign post needs to be moved due to improper installation location instructions.

There is a $20 service fee for requests/trips to install C/S riders, SOLD riders, toppers, or stickers of the same. There is a $20 service fee to install or remove a lockbox if this service was not booked for the same time as installation/removal.

Custom Colours

Custom colour(s) for standard posts are a one-time fee of $15.00 per post. 

Luxury/Executive post custom colour(s) are a one-time fee of $35.00 per post. 

Unless otherwise specified, this/these post(s) will be used for all of your installs.

Additional Fees

Installation renewal fees (e.g. a sign out for more than four months) – none

Storage fees – none

Fuel surcharges – none

Disposal fees – none

Sticker removal fees – none IF using the easy peel vinyl C/S and SOLD stickers

Annual fee increases – none at this time

Payment for Agents

Payment can be made at the time of ordering through the website. 

If an agent is managing their own services it is implied that they are in accordance with all brokerage regulations, rules and requirements. 

BW is not responsible for any disputes that may result from a failure to adhere to brokerage rules.

Payment for Brokerages/Teams

Agents/users under a brokerage account will checkout under the “Manual Payment” option. Brokerage/team accounts will be billed in the first week of each month on a Net 15 from date invoice was sent. Overdue accounts will be subject to a 5% late fee per week. 

It is the responsibility of the brokerage to direct their agents to the BW terms and conditions, ordering process and fees. If the brokerage orders on behalf of the agent it is implied that the agent consents to the brokerage ordering installations, removal and repairs. 

BW is not responsible for any disputes that may result from a failure of the brokerage not communicating its rules, requirements and regulations to its agent(s).

Terminating Service

If BW services are no longer required (change of brokerages, changing to an alternative installation company, no longer licensed etc.) it is the account holder’s responsibility to arrange for, and schedule, pick-up of their signs and any other property. BW kindly requests that property be picked up within 21 days (3 weeks) of terminating service. Property that is not picked up within 3 weeks will be disposed of and no compensation shall be reimbursed to the owner. Should there be signs in need of removal from properties (due to terminating service) BW will remove them within 2 working days as per hours of operation, original installation fees will still apply.
